First anniversary of the Keep Me Posted UK initiative celebrated in September 2014
After its launch in 2013, the “Keep Me Posted UK” campaign reached a crucial milestone: one year anniversary celebrated in September with an event and the attendance of many supporters and politicians.
One year ago, the campaign started building support from the ground up, setting itself a target of 50 supporters for Easter this year, number which was easily exceeded. Currently, the Keep Me Posted UK campaign has been gathering 65 among charities and other organisations supporting the initiative and signing up for the pledge.100 Members of Parliament have signed up an Early Day Motion supporting the campaign. Furthermore, thousands of ordinary citizens engaged in the campaign signing up for the pledge, and more than 5.000 people have decided to complain against energy regulator Ofgem, prompting the company to actively support the campaign.
They managed to achieve such a great success thanks to a great media and press coverage. Around 10.000 people have constantly received newsletters, many thousands have been reached throughout blog news and have been following the campaign development through Twitter and other social media platforms and more than 38 local and national radio interviews have taken place.
