At the last Strasbourg plenary session, the European Parliament approved the Own Initiative Report on the Application of the Postal Directive, of the Transport and Tourism (TRAN) Committee, which includes the adopted opinion of the Internal Market (IMCO) Committee. The latter explicitly mentions the Keep Me Posted EU campaign at point 5 with the following statement: “IMCO Committee […] recognises the changes in customer expectations and the benefits of the Keep Me Posted EU campaign to promote consumer choice”.
Campaigners appreciate the rare mention and reference to the principles of the campaign within the report, initially drafted by MEP Lucy Anderson (S&D).
