No Citizen should be left behind

This week, 3 December marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. On this occasion, Keep Me Posted EU campaign supporter – the European Disability Edf logoForum (EDF) and the European Commission co-organised a two-day conference in Brussels on 4-5 December 2017, to celebrate and raise awareness on diversity and social inclusion. This was followed by the massive 4th European Parliament of Persons with Disabilities (EPPD) event at the European Parliament which also marked the 20th Anniversary for EDF, an independent NGO that represents the interest of 80 million people with disabilities in Europe.

At the EPPD, Keep Me Posted EU was able to provide some information on the campaign, listen in and be amongst the hundreds of persons with disabilities who has travelled far and wide to engage in dialogue with European leaders concerning their rights.

Keep Me Posted EU as such, is a campaign which promotes the citizen’s right to choose how they receive important information without any disadvantage. It is a pro-choice campaign to promote inclusion and accessibility for vulnerable citizens including those who are living with a disability.

Keep Me Posted EU is happy to have the support of EDF and hope that we can continue to work together to voice the needs of vulnerable citizens through the campaign.
